Effective as of 23 May 2025
Hi there,
Welcome to Focus Cycles NPC! We are excited to have you here. Our mission is simple: to make productivity knowledge freely available to everyone. We do this by sharing the Focus Cycles agile methodology, which combines agile teams, agile planning, and Focus Cycles practices, and by offering free training sessions, workshops, and resources that can be used by individuals, schools, and organizations around the world.
These Terms of Use explain what you can expect from us and what we kindly ask from you in return. We have written them in clear language so they are easy to understand. If you have any questions, you can always reach us at hello@focuscycles.org.
1. Who We Are

As a non-profit, we exist solely to support our mission of spreading knowledge and providing free training. We do not operate for private profit. Everything we offer is created to empower people and teams to become more focused, organized, and productive.
2. What You Are Agreeing To
By using our website (focuscycles.org), our training sessions, or our free resources, you agree to follow these terms. They are here to make sure that everyone can enjoy a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
3. What We Offer
Focus Cycles NPC provides:
-
Free resources such as guides, articles, and templates explaining the Focus Cycles methodology.
-
Free training sessions, both online and in-person, where available.
-
Community learning opportunities, where people can share ideas, ask questions, and learn from each other.
We believe that knowledge about productivity should not be locked away or limited to those who can afford it. Everything we share through Focus Cycles NPC is free of charge and open to all.
4. Who Can Join
Our resources and training are open to everyone — individuals, teams, schools, and organizations.
If you are under 18, we recommend having a parent, guardian, or teacher involved when you take part in our training sessions. This ensures that you get the most value and stay safe while engaging with our community.
5. Using Our Resources and Training
We encourage you to:
-
Use the Focus Cycles method in your personal life, studies, or workplace.
-
Share our templates and training exercises with colleagues, classmates, or friends.
-
Adapt the methodology to fit your own situation.
When you join a live training session, we ask you to:
-
Be respectful to trainers and fellow participants.
-
Allow everyone the chance to learn and contribute.
-
Avoid disruptive, harmful, or inappropriate behavior.
Please do not:
-
Present our resources as your own without giving credit.
-
Use our materials for harmful or illegal purposes.
-
Sell or resell our free resources.
Our approach is based on openness and collaboration. We welcome wide distribution of the methodology as long as it is done with fairness and respect.
6. Privacy
We do not collect personal data through focuscycles.org.
Sometimes, our free training activities use resources provided by our partner NPC Psychometrica.org, which is also based in South Africa. Psychometrica.org may collect basic user data in order to provide psychometric test results. Any data collected in that context is handled under their own terms and privacy policy, not ours.
We value your trust. If you have any questions about data, feel free to reach out.
7. Intellectual Property
The Focus Cycles methodology and all materials shared by Focus Cycles NPC are intended to be used and shared freely. You are welcome to:
-
Use them in your personal or professional life.
-
Share them with others in your school, company, or community.
-
Adapt them to your own needs.
All we ask is that you credit Focus Cycles NPC when you do so, and that you do not misrepresent our materials as your own original work.
We are here to spread knowledge, not to restrict it.
8. Limiting Liability
We work hard to provide resources and training that are accurate and useful. However, we cannot guarantee specific results. For example, we cannot be responsible if:
-
Your productivity does not improve as expected.
-
You apply the method incorrectly.
-
Decisions you make based on our materials do not lead to the outcomes you hoped for.
That said, if you have a problem or concern, we would like to hear from you. Our aim is always to support learners and participants in a constructive way.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes will be handled within South Africa under this law.
10. Updates to These Terms
From time to time, we may update these Terms. For example, if we introduce new training formats or add new resources, we may adjust the wording to reflect these changes.
When we update the Terms, we will post the new version on our website. By continuing to use our resources and services after the update, you agree to the new version.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us. We are always happy to help.
